The first post

Canada wasn't cold this winter, at least not in the parts I visited. Winnipeg and Toronto were both very hospitable to Naanyuni and I and we enjoyed every minute of the mild weather, northern lighting and convenient access to nearby Starbucks. We don't get Starbucks here in East Africa.

Naanyuni (which means "the long awaited one") is the reason for this blog, or I should say, she's the reason I'm finally beginning to write a blog about my life and travels. Sorry it's taken so long. I guess I just needed a little shove, and having a baby who is part Maasai seems to be just that.
